ONE FOR THE ROAD

Through the glints of Jakarta city light, the story of Nene and Ciko has begun. From the first time we met them online, we instantly fell in love with this couple. We could see that they are the kind of people who can effortlessly spread a positive aura even though we just met them through our laptop screen.

They shared with us that they love wandering aimlessly around Jakarta, driving their lovely car through the serenity of midnight. They do this to relieve their minds while letting them wander endlessly which surprisingly succeeds to create a strong bond between them. They also love the visual imagery of retro movies, especially Wong Kar-wai's.

We were very inspired by them and tried to create a photo session concept that could portray and elevate Nene & Ciko story and perspective. We were beyond happy when they really love the place and the concept we proposed for their prewedding couple session. For quite some time, we have found this beautiful rooftop place in the middle of the city of Bandung. But none of our previous clients were interested in having a photoshoot session in this spot, until Nene & Ciko came to us.

Did we already said that they love Wong Kar-Wai's?

Our photographer, Ryan Satrio said, "the only significant inconvenience we experienced was the rain right after the sunset. We were forced to adjust to the situation but then again, Nene and Ciko were so into their space and do nothing but appreciate their small romantic moments together. Suddenly our job felt effortless."

The sunset is a paid actor!

We chose this majestic theater auditorium for their second photoshoot spot. We try to go-the-extra-miles a bit by building "the dock on the countryside lake" set on the stage.

"It's been forever since I got this idea to build a beautiful set on the stage of Rumentang Siang. This place got me fell in love from the first sight for its intense character, timeless feel, and thankfully fit Nene and Ciko's persona."

"We deliberately finish the set before Nene and Ciko arrived and tried to set the surreal mood by playing Nene's favorite tunes: Ghibli's Background Music. It was such an incredible feeling for us to see Nene's priceless surprised expression when she first stepped into the theater set" said our Creative Director, Vega Prabumi.
