The Purity of Love

We started our journey in the photography industry 10+ years ago. Honed our skills and passion in the wedding and pre-wedding category. Until this year, we came across a phenomenon that is new for us, something we never knew we would enjoy this much.

This year, we unexpectedly offered quite a lot of family and maternity photoshoot projects. Twice as much as we got in the previous year. Could this be a new emerging trend in the future?

Trying to capture moments for family photo sessions has different challenges compared to couples. In couple sessions, we get used to the awkwardness of the couple, and that is totally fine for us. We knew exactly how to deal with it. But in a family photo session, especially when our client’s kid is still a toddler, it was a more chaotic scene (in a good way of course). We have to deal with a lot of mood swings while keeping the session as fun as it should be. It was also really challenging to direct the kids so we have to be ready to capture the moment all the time. But only for a split second, thankfully we always succeed to capture the raw, innocent, filled with love moments that are not only priceless for our clients, but for us too.

Anyway, we just found out that our studio project in collaboration with Hazel Studio - MUSSE, is really suitable for family or maternity photo sessions, don’t you think? We love how versatile our studio could be. From museum-themed to traditional Javanese-style photoshoots, both turned out amazingly.

Would it be a new emerging trend in the photography industry? Would it just be a mere coincidence? We really don’t know the answer yet. But the thing we are sure we know is, surprisingly, capturing a pure joy and love of a family was really heartwarming yet fulfilling for us. And we hope that all of you could feel it too, at least once in a lifetime.
