“It was a sunny Sunday morning in Seminyak. Kai and I just came back from the beach for our morning swim. Sitting at home. No make up for me and no pants for him. Perfect settings :)
I love weekends, and I love home! For me the times at home with my family, quiet evenings that roll into weekend mornings that stretch all the way to Sunday bedtime - is the best. Home is also my son Kai‘s little kingdom, all his toys that scattered in all rooms at our home are where he reigns. And wherever he is, I like to be too because together we are happiest.
So yeah we‘re total homebugs. For me its a place where I have my freedom to exhale. Living in two different countries can be exhausting sometimes. But our Bali home is a place where I can think about peace and purpose instead of the distance yet to travel. Just letting its harmony between land and sea and sky touch our souls.
This shoot is also extra special because Vega caught us just before we leave Amsterdam for the whole summer, and probably for good soon! So thank you Owlsome for the sweet reminder about our Bali home - for capturing these beautiful pauses, these small moments pulled free of past and future and containing only the taste of fresh dragon fruit smoothie bowl and lemongrass tea and salt-freshened wind.
P.S. If you are making family goal list, really make family pictures a priority! Just do it! Specially if you have access to @owlsomeproject. Cos he‘s the best!”
